Appeals Policy
Proceedings recognizes that authors may, in some cases, wish to appeal editorial decisions. We provide a transparent process for appeals while ensuring that editorial independence and integrity of the review process are maintained.
Grounds for Appeal
An appeal must be based on one or more of the following:
- Evidence that a manuscript was rejected due to a factual error or misinterpretation by the editors or reviewers.
- Concerns that the peer review process was biased, incomplete, or not conducted according to the journal?s policy.
- New information or clarification provided by the authors that may affect the editorial decision.
Disagreement with the journal?s scope or editorial judgment alone is not a valid basis for appeal.
Appeals Process
- Submission of Appeal
- Appeals must be submitted in writing by the corresponding author to [email protected] within 30 days of receiving the decision letter.
- The appeal should clearly state the grounds for reconsideration and include supporting evidence.
- Initial Review
- The Editor-in-Chief will review the appeal and determine whether it merits further consideration.
- If the appeal is deemed valid, the manuscript may be reassessed by a new editor or sent to independent reviewers not involved in the original decision.
- Final Decision
- The decision following an appeal is final.
- Authors will be notified in writing of the outcome within 6?8 weeks of submitting their appeal.
Important Notes
- Appeals should be made respectfully and professionally. Aggressive, disrespectful, or repetitive appeals will not be considered.
- An appeal does not guarantee manuscript acceptance. It ensures only a fair, transparent, and unbiased re-evaluation.
- The editorial board reserves the right to uphold the original decision if the appeal lacks sufficient grounds.
