Archives, Indexing & Digital Preservation Policy
The Proceedings of SZMC is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and discoverability of all published scholarly content.
Archiving
- All articles published since 1986 are permanently available in the Archives Section of the journal?s official website: Proceedings Archives.
- The archive is open access and free of cost for all readers worldwide.
- Each article retains its original citation details (volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI where applicable).
Digital Preservation
- Proceedings employs multiple strategies to guarantee digital preservation:
- LOCKSS and CLOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) for tamper-proof distributed archiving.
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to safeguard access in case of technical failures.
- Institutional repositories and university libraries for additional redundancy.
- Persistent Identifiers (DOIs) assigned through Crossref, ensuring permanent and reliable citation links.
Indexing & Discoverability
Proceedings is indexed and abstracted in:
- Crossref (for DOI registration and citation linking)
- Google Scholar
- PakMediNet
- [Add other databases/indexes as relevant ? e.g., PubMed, Scopus, DOAJ, HEC Journal Recognition System]
ORCID Integration
- Authors are strongly encouraged to provide their ORCID iD during submission.
- ORCID ensures unique researcher identification, proper attribution, and integration with Crossref for seamless citation tracking.
